Went with the family to the see Samoa v France at the rugby league WC last night. The French capitulation very disappointing, but there was an unexpected bonus of the Physical Disability final afterwards - it seems to have been a late addition and wasn't on when I bought the tickets. We thought we'd stay to watch a few minutes before retiring to the pub to "show a bit of support". We ended up watching to the end and cheering stupidly as the England lads raised the cup. What a thoroughly uplifting and above all genuinely entertaining game!! Really clever rules (which I had to hastily google...) allows a mix of (dis)abilities to play, with colour coded socks and shorts to denote full contact and touch rugby players etc.. A couple of proper on your feet breaks from 2 of Englands backs were highlights. A couple of thousand stayed to watch - they nicely corralled everyone into the main stand to get the atmosphere going. Anyway, I just felt the need to share.
