It is a really smart move to ask Roby to stay on for another year. I think if Woolf had stayed then Roby might have retired.
Roby staying on helps continuity of leadership and helps to embed the new coach.
I know people will say that didnt work out under Cunningham but in the recent interview with Wilkin Roby explained that Holbrook asked Roby to take more of a leadership role when he took over.
Even though Roby looks to be struggling in the odd game he is still 9/10 every week and even if he only plays half the games he will be around the squad and if somebody is not pulling their weight then he will tell them.
