Wakefield Trinity • Reserves v newcastle
Just thought i give a little run down on the reserves last night.it was a very youthful side with a total of 8 academy lads 4 of which where 1st year academy lads.dont know much about the newcastle lads but plenty had first team shirts on(name and squad number)and talking to a parent before hand they only had a couple of academy lads involved..onto the game we started bad going down 20.0 midway through 1st half before showing some spirit to lose 22 16,which was 4 trys apiece they kicked goals we didnt kick 1.add to this a very poor performance from the officials, i think it finished at 5 trys dissowled for us of which some where commical ie thunder had ball around 30 out they dropped the ball we pick up and score only for ref to give a pen on the half way line,bizzare....anyway positives for me is the way the lads battled from been a big score down esp with them been so young and against some crazy calls from the ref.but for me biggest positive is kyle evans some good finishing (hattrick again would of been more had they been given)speed and strength and some aggressive attitude i defence certainly be happy to see him line up v wigan
