Motion For Definition Changes Submitted For Branch AGM

The motion has been submitted for amendments to the Munster Branch bye-laws for the definitions of All-Ireland League Clubs and Senior Clubs ahead of the Munster Branch AGM at Old Crescent RFC tonight (Thursday).

A review of the bye-laws has been undertaken with the necessary consultation and engagement with all stakeholders now complete.

While the Branch have previously declared their support for the amendments there was a further positive step at the most recent Branch Committee meeting with attending delegates all in support of the motion being submitted at the AGM.

Motion to Amend Bye-Laws

Article 1: Definitions

• “All-Ireland League Clubs or AIL Clubs / WAIL Clubs” means Clubs playing in the All-Ireland League, the Women’s All Ireland League or its equivalent.
• “Senior Club” means Clubs playing in the All-Ireland League or the Woman’s All Ireland League (or its equivalent).

The process continues with the motion proposed and for that to be accepted by those in attendance at the AGM with a two-thirds voting majority.
