He wasn’t committal at all in his post match interview over his future though, I liked Peets interview where he said they should be as honoured to play for Wigan as we should that we have them, also acknowledging the fact he wants to go to the NRL, I saw that as him saying that he should show us some loyalty if the NRL move doesn’t present itself.
Let's assume Bevan doesn't bag himself a NRL contract this time round meaning he stays in SL. Which scenario would give him a better chance of gaining that NRL contract in a couple of years by putting himself in the shop window?
Playing Fullback at midtable Hull FC with little chance of silverware.
Playing Wing or Fullback for Wigan, already bagged Challenge Cup with a good chance of further finals and silverware success.
Let's face it, we have lads going to the NRL straight from our Academy as it seems playing for Wigan is like some sort of badge of honour when it comes to Aussie Clubs on the hunt for new overseas talent.
