In defence of Orta he has to shop for players in the market that possess plenty of talent and who also have the potential to improve to Premier League level, but who are also a bargain, rather than signing the polished article who costs Mega bucks and who all of the top clubs are watching closely too.
Spending large amounts of cash on players also has it's pitfalls too as they then need to deliver the big prizes.
Take Manchester United as an example who have reputedly spent £1.3 Billion since Fergie retired and what have they won?
Now this is the perfect example of how badly a football club can be run whilst in the wrong hands.
Orta would never have given Pogba away twice for nothing despite spending £89 Million to sign him
That's a good point actually. It's certainly a fame of luck finding those gems. Even at their height, Man Utd signed plenty of duds. I guess you hope to have more come off than not. And if you think it that way, besides the first year, it's not gone too badly
