The teams current predicament has actually forced me to join the forum to vent my frustrations after many years of just reading other forum members views. My first year of watching the Wire was 1978 at the Wilderspool Zoo where the atmosphere was always electric and I couldn't wait to get to the game on a Sunday afternoon...I was less enthusiastic about visiting the toilets behind the Fletcher St end! I've watched some fantastic players in my time there (Jonathan Davies, Les Boyd, Alan Langer, Des Drummon, John Woods etc). My question is where have all the players gone that had the x-factor and would make you excited every time they had the ball? I was really excited by the signing of George Williams this season but he's not had the impact that I would have expected. Is it just because he's playing behind a poor pack? It's just that whenever I saw him play in a Wigan or Canberra shirt he always seemed to break through the line to either score or make a try. Thanks for reading my first post and I'd appreciate any thoughts on the subject.
