Metro League 4 Final – Naas 16 Old Wesley 6
Out Wesley 4ths were outmuscled by Naas 3rds in the Metro 4 final at Forenaughts.
Whilst Wesley applied some early pressure in the opposition 22 they failed to score. Naas then kicked a penalty goal and followed it up with two tries to lead 13 nil. Two Penalties kicks for Old Wesley by Luke deRenzy made it 13-6 to the home side at half time.
The second half was a low scoring affair and Wesley did well to hold on to a 7 point gap. With five minutes to go a Naas penalty kick gave them a two score lead and there was no way back for Old Wesley.
