I seem to remember he was involved in a betting incident and got a ban from the RFL, but that was quite a long time ago now. Anyway, I would imagine that from a development point of view Doro is far better with a full year commitment to Widnes rather than going through short term recalls and kicking his heels if he can not get a game in the first team. He could play for the reserves but I think he will face sterner tests in the Championship and will doubtless have to get accustomed to the occasional roughing up to boot. Of course the other possibility is that Powell doesn't see him fitting into the squad next year.
