Also this stuff people keep trotting out about Covid not being the main cause of death really is very silly and is them deliberately trying to downplay the pandemic for whatever reasons, massively misunderstanding a tiny bit of knowledge they seem to have picked up along the way.

Personally I think it's very silly not entrusting the public with accurate figures then 'people' wouldn't have to ask.
If you think I'm trying to downplay the pandemic, you could equally argue that the authorities are trying to do the opposite!
I take the pandemic seriously, I have been fully vaccinated and comply with the rules, but I expect to be treated like a responsible adult and don't like being patronised.
