While there's a weather related theme, here's two.

Swinton, circa 1992, at the legendary Station Rd. ground.
"Piddled" down, all morning, and all afternoon, and there's no overhead cover, there, so everyone's pee wet through. THEN,
during the game, there's a floodlight failure, so, we're getting wetter for longer.
Swinton were atrocious that season. Guess what. They beat us.

Leeds 88/9. It had put a decent amount of snow down in Warrington on the Saturday night, but the five of us made an "executive decision" in Oliver's (after MANY beers), to chance it, the following day. HUGE snowfall overnight in Yorkshire, and when get there, there's hoardes of Yorkie Muppets in t-shirts in the South Stand, while the more sensible were wrapped up like Chris Bonnington.
Leeds had Ettingshausen, Cliffy Lyons and "Slammin'"Sam Backo, as well as a load of GB Internationals. We had the second coming of Phil Blake, as well as Les Davidson and lazy ar53 Roach.....we mullered em



Non weather
I loved Saints in the 93/4 Regal Trophy, live on Grandstand.
We packed put the Kop end and we were in full voice. "Walking in a Davies Wonderland" was the loudest it had ever been. For some daft reason, Grandstand's cameras caught me for a few seconds, and I had random people coming up to me in the Time Square a few hours later, saying "saw you on the Tele this afternoon". We were superb, that afternoon. My favourite Wire backs era. Penny, Myler, Davies, Shelford, Mackey, Bateman etc.
