Basically he would be the highest paid player in SL and we simply can’t afford him (nor anyone else in SL probably)
If I’m not mistaken Sims is still under contract for next year at St George. There may be a deal do be done to get rid of most of his wage for them while not having a good player land at a competitor - if he fancies coming across to SL.
It is a long shot but would be a cracking signing in theory!
