I get where he's coming from as a fan, in that no amount of whining and complaining will ever make a difference, but the sad fact is that IF the club had listened, we'd not be in the crapper that we are now looking at the u-bend of no return with a fan base less than 5% of that which we had when the whinging and complaining began.
There's a great poem by John Cooper Clarke that sums up how I feel about apologists like NB as well as Mr Hughes.......I can't posts it's name here, because the filter will stop me, but if you're keen, the opening lines is:
