The Wire today were ambling about like Union players for the first 60 minutes with cross field passing being the best efforts at being adventurous. Where is our flair ? Cas had flair & determination in spadefulls & Liam Watts even managed a sidestep through our defence. Yes but castleford earned the right to play expansive rugby by doing the basics right. We cannot do that at the moment how fan we expect to play the expansive rugby we fans crave. Yes its coaching and tactics that are an issue but the players are the ones on the pitch they are the ones making mistakes dropping balls and o the other hand they are the ones on the pitch they gave the choice also to just play rugby rather than one up.
I dont get the feeling price is an unpleasant guy or that he will be causing major problems in the dressing room either, or that he is not trying. I hoped the players would respond to him departing positively however on first showing they are not looking like a side wanting to send their coach off with a grand final win under his belt.
