Ulster Rugby encourages everyone to #BeDistanceAware

0 8

Following today’s launch of #BeDistanceAware by the Department of Health in Northern Ireland, Ulster Rugby is urging everyone to remember the importance of maintaining social distancing in the continued fight against COVID-19.

The new Distance Aware campaign aims to remind the NI public that social distancing is everyone’s responsibility through the use of an instantly recognisable symbol – the Distance Aware Shield.

Following on from the Distance Aware campaign that is already operating in Wales, the Northern Ireland Health Minister, Robin Swann, has adapted the campaign for use in Northern Ireland – and the initiative is supported by the Department for Health, the Public Health Agency, and the Patient and Client Council.

By wearing a Distance Aware badge, individuals will be able to show that they want to maintain social distancing, where possible – and are encouraging others to do so too.

To help support #BeDistanceAware, remember to:

  • Please give other people space.
  • Please keep your distance.
  • Keep safe and keep other people safe.
  • Respect other people’s space – and have other people respect your space.
