We are sad to report the passing of another club stalwart, Basil Crabtree, who died on Monday aged 91.
Basil came from Loughborough College to teach at Linton Camp in the early 1950s before setting up his own plumbing and heating business. He played for the club through to the early 1960s and served on both the General Committee and the Selection Committee from 1963-77, stepping down from both when his wife Myra joined the newly-formed Ladies’ Committee.
