Cecily Pratt – deceased
It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Cecily Pratt, after an illness. For many years Cecily virtually lived in Old Wesley partly due to her close family links with the club. Her husband Iain was Honorary Secretary for a number of years. Her father Willie Shiel was a Club President and a very active Old Wesley stalwart. Her mother Hazel was very active on the Ladies Committee, a committee that Cecily was also heavily involved in. And her brother Alan was an active junior player. In addition Cecily and Iain would often invite visiting team committee members to their house for dinner and refreshments. She was the first elected Lady Member of Old Wesley. Her involvement only stopped when she and Iain emigrated to France some years ago.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Cecily’s husband Iain, her children, grandchildren and extended family. Cecily will be sadly missed by her many friends in Old Wesley.
