Very strange if he does go to Leigh as he is the cherry on top of the cake but they at the moment are lacking the cake to compliment it.
Ben Flower is probably their best forward and unless they add to strengthen that pack then they could have Darren Lockyer running round at the back of the team and he wouldn’t be able to make much of an impact.
Wakefield similarly don’t need superstar all eggs in one basket signings. If there was that money in the pot it would be much more prudent to add a couple of experienced forwards than to splash the cash on a vanity fullback.
Wigan are looking to unload Clarke and I understand he has secured a contract elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like him at Belle Vue next season. He is the kind of signing that goes well at Trinity.
Bags of potential but maybe made some poor choices through his career chasing money and a big club and it hasn’t worked out for him but he now has something to prove.
