Ava has given us great service. The team have moved on tremendously since he signed, in no small part down to his efforts, and he leaves with a CC winner's medal. While we'd love him to stay we should be thanking him rather than criticising him, especially given the personal reasons for him to leave.
Fine, have a go if it was just about him getting more money at another club (Segeyaro style) - but I don't think this is the case at all. Every player's situation is different, and lumping him in with the likes of Eastwood and even Merrin shows a lack of understanding and empathy. If anything we're lucky to be hanging on to our other southern hemisphere players under present circumstances.
