I have been on lots of Aussie rl grounds over the years but think Adelaide oval is great as it combines the new with the old. They still got the original cricket scoreboard there which you can go in as part of the stadium tour.

As below I have been to Adelaide and saw an AFL match at the oval. Believe it will be a long while before Adelaide have an NRL team there.
When we arrived in Sydney in mid 1968 from South Africa I was offered jobs in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and selected a great one in Adelaide. Married 10 days after arriving in Sydney and had about 2 dozen Aus relatives at the event. Started in Adelaide late in October. My wife began continuous part time work in Sydney a couple of days after we arrived but discovered in South Australia that work for a married woman was extremely limited and she failed to find suitable employment for the first time since she left school some 10 years previously. She took this situation for about 6 weeks and became very unhappy. I realised we were not going to adapt and I quit the job and returned to Sydney where I took a job with ICI Australia which previously I had turned down. My wife found a full time position before I resumed work early in 1969.. We returned to Adelaide a few years ago to revisit the place we lived (Brighton) and retrace the car journey we took to get there and back to Sydney. I retired from ICI in 1986(aged 47) and my wife carried on with full time work until 2000.
