Which people were saying this though? I think that was a question someone asked Donnyman. Was it SL who said this? The IRLF? Catalans themselves? French RL? Fans? All I know is that is wasn't part of the 'criteria' to allow Catalans into the SL. It might have been talked about in terms of a potential side benefit to having them in but it was mainly to have a French presence, French TV deal, French players, to really expand the game. And arguably they have done. There's more French players throughout the league and because of Catalans inclusion to SL there's now more eyes on clubs like Toulouse.
