Exactly this. Criticism isn't only justified it's required given the scale of ineptitude and hypocrisy they have displayed. How can we hope to be better if we don't face the truth of our government's disastrous response to this pandemic, recognise others have done far better, and call for improvements? That's not loony leftism, it's basic democratic debate. The willingness of parts of the electorate to turn a blind eye is arguably more dangerous long term than the current shambolic administration.
