That Semi Final loss and the battering that the Saints players endured IMO enabled Leeds to win the GF without a doubt and hence the blow out score line
I've just watched that one too. One thing that struck was how hard Ian Kirke was running the ball in (seriously). When exactly did he lose his appetite for doing that? We all know what he was like as a ball carrier towards the end of his Leeds' career but it wasn't always that way.
