I don't think the owner of Newcastle Thunder is going to be as wealthy as he was pre-Covid19 as he now has a promoted Newcastle Falcons union side,and a stadium currently not used,to finance as well as Thunder.
That particular club will have to pay incremental increases to sustain their Challenge for Super League,which they aim to win in 2030.
Strangely there is no mention of their instant promotion for this 2022 campaign.
Anyway,the future isn't garlic bread....it is a European League
