Under Powell in 2014 he wasn't playing great so Powell took him off, in 2016 he didnt have a great half, but Radford stuck with him and he went on to win the cup for us.
Powell is a good coach, not as good as some make out though, he cant seem to get his team ready for big games and doesn't have a great record of bringing academy players through.
Yeah, that 2014 final was a strange one. Sneyd had gone well all year, but he was shocking that game. I think he’d been unwell in the lead up to the game, so that might have influenced Powell’s decision.
I like Sneyd as a player, but he’s not progressed as much as I thought he would. I thought he’d be an England international, but he has looked far from good enough for that apart from the odd game (and two challenge cup finals).
