I don’t want to see any team suffer and go bust. I think everyone has had enough of that but, genuine question, Super League decided to break away to prove they could ‘do it better’ than the RFL, should they be entitled to a share of any government money secured?
Let’s face it, if super league had come up with the magic potion and secured a massive dream deal quadrupling (for example) their money, can anyone see them handing some of that money over to the RFL or championship and league 1 clubs to help them survive?
I get that focus should be on the top league and the main events of the finals but should the championship teams really be punished for finally getting themselves some attention.
