The Virtual Terrace • Contract confusion.
A bit of confusion in RU where players coming off contract on 30th June may end up finishing the season with another club. Those clubs could then incur salary cap issues if their season over runs. Our season finishes later but do we have an end date for contracts which could run out if we extend the season? Imagine the situation where a player has signed to play for another club from the day after the nominal Grand Final and the club that the player is moving to suddenly has to find space on their cap for them whilst trying to keep a squad together for a shot at the title. Strange days.
