ok, so i've been on wiki (and bear that in mind) reading a few old player profiles with the aim of doing a where are they now thread but i digress. on david topliss page it states that whilst at oldham late in his career he took his jersey off during a game in reply to the home fans urging him to go 'topliss'. this resulted in him being banned for a year!

does anyone know of this? - is it made up, an elaborate april fool (it was yesterday) or did it actually happen - a years ban for that. looks like gubbins to me especially as it refers to wrexham

anyone know of any other obscure facts or even myths about the game that we can put out to others
