Halifax - FaxFans.co.uk • Something to do if you or a relative is now self isolating.
For all those people now faced with the prospect of having to self insulate and wondering how best to spend the time, can I suggest something that is interesting, enjoyable. educational and cheap. It is to start work on writing a novel based on your own life and times. This is something that I started to do back in 1988.
It was inspired by three things. Firstly my knowledge and love of rugby league, its history and many characters, secondly having a family tree going back to 1777 and thirdly the old saying about work that "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
Based on what I learned I have now written a brief outline on how to do it. E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com with your name and club supported and I'll send it to you.
However you may prefer first to read one of my six novels. If so, I suggest my latest which is called "Three Good Years" . It is set during the 2006, 07 and 08 seasons with a background of Work, Family Life, Saving the NHS and Rugby League.
It is available from London League Publications. Visit them at www.llpshop.co.uk. Click on Books and then Fiction
