Seriously, and with respect to your point I have thought through all the clubs with the rich owners who put in £Millions and most of those owners only joined their clubs AFTER Rugby League went professional via the creation of Superleague. Corrections MOST welcome but don't Pearson, Hudgell, Crossland, Caddick, Davey, Beaumont, Kurdi, Carter and Moran all certainly post-date 1996 and the creation of a pro-Superleague?

I am careful to not make a call on Lenegan Hughes & McManus without looking them up. The rich lad who came in at Widnes (o'Connor?) was also post SL's formation. I think with respect your point is completely wrong? Prior to Superleague, club owners certainly didn't sub their clubs some of the sums the current owners are paying out. The current owners are far more wealthier than the old brigade.

I'm not oblivious to the sums Mr. Argylle puts in. If he put those sums in at London, then the game could grow in the Capital. My point is the $$Millions he puts in are all wasted as his club hasn't got a TV deal, hasn't got Canadians playing RL and it pushed London out of Superleague. Investments can both be a positive thing, but also a negative thing.
