But of course you and a smallish number of people prevalent on web sites continue to be "pre-occupied" supporting an "unreasonable idea" that RL will take off in Canada, and expand in France despite several years of absolute proof it ain't happening. Less pro-players in France, no TV deal anymore there, no player development or TV deals in Canada and a hands up admission via McDermott TWP have failed on these vital issues.
I'm not against them Wayne, I am against them replacing clubs here who do develop players and whose fans do buy SKY subs. It's a very reasonable stance to take.....

You admire clubs in this country who are fortunate to have wealthy owners.The advent of Super League has not aided GB/England to match the other hemisphere.It has not increased the number of 'elite' players for England,Wales etc that were produced prior to the advent of Super League.
Finance has not increased.Neither have attendances.Super League club owners have panicked into wanting to retain the crumbs the smaller clubs have received.
The Super League clubs have had the benefit of the TV money that Toronto have not been allowed to take advantage of.
The landscape is changing now.No one can predict,accurately,the future of the game.
Since Super League was formed,the sport has probably lost more wealthy individuals than it has gained.It would be a shame to lose any more;but that seems a certainty.
