Widnes Vikings • Widnes 1991-1994 (ish)

I moved away from the local area (Chester), but my passion has always been rugby league. I am now researching my first book, which I intend to be a sentimental look at rugby league and its place in northern communities in the early 1990s, when I was growing up. I have family from both Widnes and Warrington, and went to both Naughton Park and Wilderspool quite often during that period. I know that may be difficult, but I would say I am a 'rugby league fan' first and foremost rather than being attached to a particular club.
Obviously, one of the big themes at the time was the unfortunate spell in which Widnes lost many of their players due to financial difficulties. I cannot, however, find many resources or people to relay their memories of that period. Is there anyone here who might be interested in discussing their memories of that period, and what it meant for the town?
