It is indeed a wonderful choice. Prince Henry Charles Albert David Windsor has a distinguished record of military service, which included a deployment to Afghanistan in order to fight the odious Taliban. He also dared to break with British tradition by marrying a Canadian woman of mixed race. He is therefore highly regarded for his courage not only within the United Kingdom, but also among the NATO allies, which of course includes France and Canada.
Thus we have a true hero of the three rugby league playing nations of the northern hemisphere -- the United Kingdom, France and Canada -- who is bringing attention to the Rugby League World Cup.
