Warrington Wolves • Israel Folau

I don't get the moral hand wringing, in this.

In today's all inclusive society, we have former murderers, rapists, thieves, drug runners etc, who have all "done their time and served their sentences ". They are now free to vote, go about their daily lives, and, GET A JOB. We (the law abididing majority) are instructed to accept them back into society, and we must.
Folau (if, as I assume, he has one), must serve his ban, BUT, when that ban ends, he should be allowed to continue his sporting career, without hinderance.
As someone said on page 1, his crime amounts to going on social media, and reciting text from an offshoot of a religious group, where it reckons that certain groups of society are going to hell, for not doing their God's will. Is there a hell (apart from St Helens)? No one knows.
Yes he's been stupid, by actually regurgitating this stuff, and with today's society being morally outraged at almost everything, a severe bollocking was bound to happen. But a line should be drawn, then, and he be let alone, and carry on with his career.

You've only to look at today's sporting pundits. Craig Bellamy once attacked a fellow team mate with a golf club. He didn't get into trouble. Nowadays, he's s regular on Sky. That loathsome twunt Joey Barton attacked a fellow team mate in training, resulting in a hospitalisation, and on another occasion, stubbed a lit cigar into the face of an academy lad. No custodial sentences for these, but he then becomes a media darling for TalkSport, and even Question Time. These days, he's in football management (assaulting counterparts). These are given second chances, why not Folau?
