Ben Foden makes dig at ex-wife Una Healy and admits ‘I don’t care’ following wedding backlash
BEN Foden appeared to make a dig at ex-wife Una Healy on social media as he reunited with their children; Aoife, seven, and son Tadhg, four, today, a week after his shock nuptials to Jackie Belanoff Smith.
The rugby player, 34, posted a short video to his Instagram with his arm around his daughter before panning around the space to show his son.
Captioning the clip, Ben, who’s ex-wife Una was apart of The Saturdays, was sure to raise a few eyebrows with his caption.
He wrote across it, “this Saturday is a little different from the last” in reference to his surprise wedding and added that “the only thing that matters is family” while Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s hit I Don’t Care accompanied the video.
However, the sports star took to the photo-sharing platform following the video to hit out at negative commentary he had received.
He penned: “Never knew I was so popular or well unpopular. Thank you for all the nice messages and comments as for the others.
“I’m glad you can vent on me (I can handle it) and hope you find peace and happiness #cloud9”.
His social media post comes a week after Ben married New Yorker Jackie on board a luxury yacht in Nantucket, Massachusetts after dating for just two weeks.
He attempted to explain his whirlwind romance, saying: “I met a girl who seriously swept me off my feet and in a time of hardship showed me love, a deep devoted love.
“People will say we are mad or crazy or even fools, as @snackyjax and I had only been dating seriously for a little over 2 weeks before deciding to get married.
“But when someone like her comes in to your life, why would I wait?”
Ben, who now plays for Rugby United New York, was married to Saturdays singer Una, for six years and they have two children together, seven-year-old Aoife and four-year-old Tadhg.
They split just one year ago after he cheated on her.

He said at the time: “At the moment anything that’s published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery.
“At the same time, it wasn’t the only reason for our divorce to go through.
“It’s not ideal, but we’re very amicable, we’re getting through it, we’re not the first people in the world to get divorced.”
