Replacement Scoreboard Appeal
Newbury RFC is a community focused club which last year celebrated its 90th anniversary
Newbury Mens First XV play in the South West Premiership (level 5 rugby) having been promoted last season winning all bar one out of twenty-six games.
For the new season we are facing a substantial deficit as a result of likely lower income and higher rugby costs – the Blues have one less home game this season coupled with substantially increased travel costs as two-thirds of our away games are in Devon & Cornwall, together with RFU rugby travel costs support being drastically reduced for clubs at grass-roots level like the Blues
We urgently need to upgrade various parts of our rugby infrastructure with a new scoreboard to replace the current broken being one of the key priorities.
We are seeking to raise a minimum of £4,000 to purchase and install a new scoreboard in time for the first home game of the season on Saturday 14th September 2019 versus Drybrook RFC with is a little over seven weeks away.
