Despite the investment in Austin - we've not progressed. We're 1 point better off than we were at this stage last season - we've won a game we drew last season, otherwise our results are exactly the same. Last season we were 4th at this stage, now we're second. Says it all really.
I was never convinced by Price - always seemed to be a case of last man standing rather than our chosen target. He seems a lovely fella but that doesn't win prizes I'm afraid. Our pack is nowhere near good enough to win anything up front and there's a lack of depth to the squad. For all those crying out for change - Westwood is injured apparently (as I've been wondering what's happened to him).
The big loss has been Ratchford - it's no coincidence that since he's been injured Austin has gone off the boil - teams just close Austin down as there's no other threat. Ratch chiming in put indecision into the opposition and made space for Austin to take advantage of. If we can get Ratch back we might have a hope but we need him back as soon as we can as we're very average without him.
