At what point did the wheels exactly come off then? At Hull we lost TJ & Bill, but managed to win. A few games later we lost Miller & Brough, but managed to win. After that against Leeds & Hudds we had between 8-10 players out, but won both games??! If any wheels fell off then surely it was on the bus to the capital for a second time........
In a decent side, when you lose players, others step up and work harder to fill the hole but, this can only ever be a short term thing and then, if players dont return (and even when they do), those that have upped their game are just too knackered to keep lifting themselves.
When you throw in the dreaded "lack of confidence", the downward spiral continues.
Initially, we did incredibly well at coping, which just shows how committed everyone is/was and I dont think that were too far away.
As long as we dont pick up any knocks early in the game, I think we will be ok tonight.
Home advantage will be the difference and that bit is up to the fans
