The Bold bits there are the ones that show you've a skewed opinion of what defines a Good Player and not a Show Pony.
Luke Dorn scored 104 tries for London (Broncos and Quins) in 166 games.......whilst London made the last spot in the play-offs in 2 of his seasons there, when he returned to London in 2009, he still managed 68 tries in 108 games in a side that finished 11th, 13th, 13th and 12th.
I may be wrong, but his strike rate was 65 in 75 games at Castleford.....that's not a show Pony, that's an attacker of some prowess!
Tries alone do not define whether a player is good or not and whether they are a show pony or not. Danny mcguire is super leagues all time try scorer, won numerous grand finals 2 mom in grand finals rob burrow won 2 as well, both scored tries for fun and spectacular individual ones, great players who did it often and when it mattered, Dorn scored majority s**t easy walk ins see also Ade Gardner Greg eden francis meli anthony stewart. Dorn Like lomax has never done anything when it really matters. I remember Dorn scoring a hat rick at Leeds a few years ago and nobody placed a hand on him and was wooping and giving it large, a few weeks later in the cup final against Leeds he got owned and embarrassed on the biggest stage, flat track bully show pony still the living of a Uk player.
