Saracens star Alex Goode finally calls time on three-day bender after celebrating Champions Cup success

ALEX GOODE has finally dumped his kit and hopped into bed after one of rugby’s epic three-day post-match benders.

The Saracens full-back, 31, was named European player of the year after helping the Premiership club win their third European Champions Cup in four years.

Of course the only way to celebrate was with an epic knees-up, with team-mates filming him walking around various venues in London and St Albans still wearing his kit, gum shield and with a bum bag.

Sarries clinched victory in Newcastle as they came from behind to beat Leinster 20-10 in the showpiece continental final.

His heroics for his club are unlikely to impress Eddie Jones, who has used Elliot Daly as full back for England in the Six Nations.

Goode posted addresses of various places he had gone drinking – in full boots, socks… and even an undershirt.

One of the venues he attended was the Farriers Arms in St Albans, where he bumped in a fan who wanted a picture.

When he finally tweeted the final picture of his bender, dozens of rugby legends went out of their way to wish him well done.

Former England and Harlequins winger Ugo Monye tweeted: “Great innings.”

Sarries actually have a Gallagher Premiership game against Worcester on Saturday — it is unclear at this point whether Goode will take part, given the match is essentially a dead rubber.

But Sarries will face a four-team playoff with the final being held at Twickenham.

Therefore it is likely Mark McCall will rest man of his European champions to keep them fit for the playoff scrap ahead.
