I'm loving that the "new" defence for Wigan's wrong doing is because Wakefield won their appeal 19 years ago, so " it's only right that we get our 2 points back".

So, they were deducted 4 points for spending 74% of their income on salaries. However, they actually spent 58% (against the permitted 50%), income that was estimated before the season began so, not quite like the live cap that is in operation today.
