Except that you won nothing. Therefore 'the only losing move is not to play' would be more appropriate and 'not play' you certainly did in those opening weeks. Don't try and dress it up as some coaching masterstroke. Had you won the lot you may have some grounds for such a claim. However, that you improved somewhat but were thoroughly outclassed when it mattered is definitely not!
