Don’t know why, Furner must think he needed a kick up the backside. To be honest I wish we’d have gotten rid of Singleton instead of Garbutt. Singleton seems to be one of those players who escapes any criticism from their own fans (whilst other players are constant scapegoats) but I think he’s overrated and doesn’t offer you enough. Poor metre maker in attack as he lacks size. His defence gets praised by some Leeds fans but it’s ok imo rather than anything great. If Leeds hope to get back to pushing for silverware in the next few years they won’t do it with Singleton as a starting prop and wouldn’t be sad to see him go at the end of the year.
