But why is it the “truth” when “Leeds fans” tell us? You’ve provided no evidence what so ever, I’ve provided the only sort of proof I’ve got and I trust my source considering he played down at Stanley with him and is a very good friend.

Funny how you didn’t question Rollin Thunder though when he stated Warrington paid a small fortune for Smith... whys that then? He didn’t provide any proof at all but you didn’t question him.

To be fair , i do not know for certain what Warrington paid for Smith, but its fairly well known that they put in a huge bid for him, so its kind if well known open sectret, they also put in a big one for Cameron smith and Jack Walker, but both stayed at leeds for less money. So my original comment was not a dig at Warrington or the player ir other clubs, just a basic observation that they paid well over the odds for a player who is not the next big thing like they thought. Also what one club pays and is prepared to pay for a junior is all dependent on what they see as a priority position, leeds where hardly throwing money around at half backs from 2004- 2015 because they had once in a generation players in those positions, but probably would pay a fair chunk now for 17-18 year old half backs ( see McClelland) Morgan smith was offered top end by leeds and probably as much as any young player at any club would offer, but Warrington offered way more and where going through a silly phase with throwing money at young players, they obviously thought he was worth the risk, but as i said earlier, they probably will have a bit different approch from now on.
