I totally agree Matt. I am one of those supporters who just can't commit to attending every home game so am reluctant to buy a season ticket. Last season I did often enjoy games from the comfort of the garden watched on my phone via the live streaming. Although it has been suggested for some time that we wouldn't be able to see Championship games in this way, if this had been confirmed and publicised earlier I might have been tempted to take the plunge and buy a season ticket. Now it will probably depend very much on performances and results how often I choose to pay £25 on the gate. I realise that I will be dismissed as a "fair weather supporter" for saying that. I have followed the club for nearly half a century, many of those as a season ticket holder. However like a lot of people I do have other things I could be doing on a Sunday afternoon in the "summer" months. Whilst I salute the "hard core" for attending every game through thick and thin, I reckon there must be a few thousand like me who would like to attend most games but just find it a bit pricey at the moment. As I'm also a BCFC season ticket holder (glutton for punishment) I must admit it's the low cost of season tickets at VP for many years that has kept fans involved even when they weren't doing that well (as now!)
I might add that whilst I will miss the option of watching via live streaming, It will probably mean that I attend more games next season, which will benefit the club. It's an interesting question to ask if live streaming is a benefit or not. It's great publicity for the game, but if lots of folk like me choose to stay at home instead of paying to attend the game, do the benefits outweigh the lost income?[/quote]
What if the Bulls were negotiating with Sky and RFL to try show the games next year and maybe Sky refused recently? Maybe it's easier to blame the Bulls even when talks did take place.
