9 and 13 used to be 80 min positions, for some players they still are.

Totally agree regarding the ball playing 13 v a 3rd prop. For me a complete 13 in the modern game is someone who can do the following:
-Hard yards, like a prop down the middle
-Link the play with good hands as a 'go between' between the 6 and 7
-Be a first receiver from the DH who then has the ability to take the ball in like a prop or start the movement with passing skills
-Solid tackler
-Fitness to perform for around 60 mins.

That's why Lockers is good, he has the ability to do all the above. Who else can claim the same? Perhaps Paul Gallen.

The game has moved on from when Hanley was a 13, as good as he was, for me if he was around today, he'd be a FB.
