The Catalans v Hull was completely different Child's was given penalties for the slightest infringement which made the game very boring with all the stop start.


Spot on, quality of refereeing has nothing to do with players bending the rules (I am sure they try that in every game). It is about the ref being consistent in their application of the rules. The bloke on Saturday was good primarily because you didn't notice him too much yet you didn't feel too much was being missed by him either.
