Hampshire I suppose does in a way but then Wigan have probably already proven their point to him umpteen times. The management didn’t think he was good enough to start in the halves for us but he did. He wasn’t happy playing in a position at fullback which is probably the most involved position on the field from an attacking point of view and eventually left to seek as fortune as a halfback. The result? Spells on the wing, at fullback and many on the bench or in the stands at Cas, Leigh and Wakey with very few appearances in his favoured position at stand off.
The kid could score a hatrick (off the bench tomorrow) and win the game for Wakey and I still don’t think he’ll have proven anyone at Wigan wrong. He’ll only do that when he nails a regular superleague birth at stand off and starts to win games on a regular basis for his team.
