What does this mean?How many times at half time does the team leading win the match?How many times in many games do you see a side get away to a 12 to 18 point lead in the first 15 minutes and the other side catches them within 10 to 15 minutes and the game is back on!Likewise scoring in the few minutes before half time and within 5/10 minutes of the second half....how game defining is that!I always think we come out poorly in the second half if we equal or are trailing, remember the Titans last year 12 nil up looked a 50 point game and went to half time 12 all and blew a game we should never have lost.So game management and contingency plans are what this blog is about. Why do we never seem prepared if the game doesn't go our way.How do they mentally come back?Obviously possession and control of same is so important but "catch up" football catches up with so many football teams.Don't Panic Mr Mannering seems so apparent....easier said than done.In summary all this seems so obvious but just reflect on the games we should have won and didn't because these issues weren't catered for.I always said good sides win the closer games, we invented ways to come back and win in the 80's, Melbourne do similar things and I see it is a trait that Cowboys manage very well.Leadership and game management is a big issue. See More
