Look , let's get this ' not trying ' malarkey out the way , more of an issue is probably trying too hard , again with regards ' taking the 2 ' there are situations were it is the right thing

A tight game in poor conditions , no score after 30 minutes , take the 2

6 point lead after 60 minutes , take the 2

39th minute , take the 2

Also IMO after a 12 or 18 point lead

For me I'd even engineer a single point in these situations

But as a general tactic , no , you just won't score enough to win
